From the monthly archives: September 2014

Our paper on “Replicating and Re-evaluating the Theory of Relative Defect-Proneness” has been published in the Transactions on Software Engineering (TSE). This paper was accepted with minor revisions earlier this year.

Look for me at the following event in Victoria, British Columbia next week:

I have been invited to speak on “Open Data in Software Engineering Research” during Open Access Week at Queen’s University.

Our Technology Showcase on ‘Big Data Analytics for Software Performance in Ultra-Large Scale Systems’ has been accepted at the 24th Conference of the Center for Advanced Studies on Collaborative Research (CASCON). My colleague Tse-Hsun (Peter) Chen will present our research in the intersecting area of Big Data Analytics and Software Performance Engineering. Our work has focused on 1) leveraging Big Data Analytics to solve software engineering problems and 2) developing techniques to automatically diagnose problems in Big Data Analytics applications.

Starting in September, I will be interning at BlackBerry in Waterloo, Ontario.
